My Top 100 Films - give or take - and a Film Lovers' Evolution

I'm sure I've left off a few, and they're listed in no particular order within each group, but here's a lot of the reason why I'm me...
And I made this list before Beasts of the Southern Wild was made, so i would have to add it. Right below BladeRunner - or maybe side by side, and for a lot of the same reasons, believe it or not.
Also, Stiff Upper Lip and Cold Comfort Farm should be reversed. And then serious BBC costume things could pretty much have their own top 100 too.

Here's a list of my favorite directors:
Terry Gilliam
Akira Kurosawa
Sergio Leone
Alejandro Jodorowsky
Joel and Ethan Cohen
Robert Rodriguez
Ridley Scott
Luc Besson
Sofia Coppola
Jean Pierre Jeunet
Guillermo Del Toro

and add that I have the same problem with documentaries that I do with my favorite Asian films, and Westerns need their own list too.
Too many to share a list!

N10s

I carry a little stack of index cards in my pencil case. When i have a minute, i draw on them and sometimes i leave them wherever i am, sometimes i stuck them back in the pack and find them later, often complete little surprises that i don't even remember drawing. here's a few.

Chapeau (Shappo), Part 1.

This was a hard story to tell. I hope no one innocent is injured in any way by my telling it. I just should have told it sooner.
This is for my brother on his birthday.

Our house caught fire in the night while there were no adults at home. After that, my family had to move to a rough place near the cemetery while our new home was built.

I understand a lot more now. I have tried hard to puzzle things out from her perspective as well, as best i can of course. I have thought about postpartum depression, about the kinds of things doctors prescribed back then, about her own past and mental health issues, about her state of living and state of mind in general and i am able to feel sorry for all of that, and still none of it makes any of this ok. and it's not just her either. but mothers aren't supposed to abandon or hurt their children. NO one is. But especially mothers.
