i am working on another comic, at least 3 pages long (i've done 2.5 pages on it already, so...) but i couldn't resist sharing these two pencil panels before i ink them. i was especially proud of this one. i can very clearly see the influence some of my favorite artists have had on my style in this drawing. that makes me happy. my school has been comics and other artists (and JCJC - in the haouse!), so that matters to me. it's graduatey. drawing perspective has always been a challenge for me and to me this shows that i AM getting it, and then it's just an emotionally powerful drawing, straight from the heart.
oh, and the detail on the axe head is !@#$ awesome. ;)
and just fyi, the axe is just a fun thing to draw - not an actual THEME in my work, i promise. it's also good symbol for how i'm feeling... but, if i REALLY snapped and went genocidal, i'd use something blowey uppey. and who's gunna let ME get ahold of anything like that, i ask you? (*building a hadron collider in the shed*)
